Sydney Grammar School in St ives
E-scaping has created this new area for the school kids to play and learn during the day. Not only is this a great place for the kids to enjoy the outside elements, but the area is designed to teach the kids about an array of different attributes they will face in a natural environment.
Our favourite part of this playground we created is that all the elements concentrate on being environmentally sustainable. We achieve this by using Natural Australian products, and a variety of recycled materials where ever possible. It is E scaping’s small contribution to progressing towards a greener future, and reducing construction waste that ends up in landfill.
On the practical side, this entire playground had to be designed in a way that would eliminate a horrible drainage problem the school had in this particular area. The dry creek beds are a great looking idea that can solve large scale drainage problems. Well done to all our team!!
